this is supposed to be the 3rd post of this blog and it's in the middle of the 31st week of tennis-calendar!
yeah,30 weeks already passed and we're gonna get into the final days of 31st! this week,there are 2 WTA and 2 ATP level tournaments around and it's the 3rd week of the US OPEN SERIES!!!
today i'm gonna go into more details to show you the russian ladies' performance at '07 season by far and actually in th first 7 1/2 months of the year!
#1. maria sharapova (so called "supernova"):
her best result of the year was a GS final (AO) and one more GS semis (at RG). of course with masha's magic potential,you never know what to expect especially when we find out that 4 out of her last year's 5 titles were from the USO series onwards...
#2. svetlana kuznetsova (so called "kuzy"):
what the hell would i want to write about her performance at '07?? i dunno,she's reached 4 finals this year,still no GS better performance than QF,and yet to win a single title!

#3. anna chakvetadze:
best russian so far at '07! she's won four titles till now and has reached 2 GS quarters! her best ever performance since she turned pro at 2000,and has collected 6 singles titles up till now,four of them which she's won this year.

#4. nadia petrova:
has won 1 title this year,since that last year's injury that she suffered after having her best year on the tour,she never got back to the form and never had a good results. never reached a GS 4th round onwards.

#5. Elena dementieva:
she won one singles title and haven't had a good result after that. never reached a GS 4th round so far which has made '07 her worst season in 4 years!
#others:
1. maria kirilenko: Maria Kirilenko is proving to be more "Anna 2" than "Maria 2.0". still zero titles to her name and equal with supernova at "0"!
2.elena vesnina: has made more fans with her looks and modelling power than her tennis results in the past 2 years! never won a title and she too is an option for replacing Anna-K's place alongside maria-K.
==what do i expect to happen?==
#1. sharapova's playing san diego this week,given the way she's played in the first 2 rounds by far i can expect her to win at least 4 more titles before the start of YEC in madrid!
she plans to play LA,toronto,USO until the 3rd quarter of the season ends!
#2. kuzy has made me disappointed by her performance... can she turn around her bad season? i seriously expect her to do something and change her game! will she play toronto?? i don't think so,but we can expect something good for her!
#3. anna has made the best results of her life,given the way she's played till now i don't doubt she can be a real contender for the USO and even YEC!
#others: petrova and dementieva are having good matches under their belt and making their own way through this year's USO... of course i still doubt will they be able to turn around it?
maria-K is playing superb tennis in the last 3 matches and has to face dementieva in the QF of acura classics! she beat Jelena Jankovic and safarova in the last two matches and on both matches she's played the best of last two years...
i honestly expect her to reach at least to the top 20-25 by the end of this year.
